1. COMMON NOUNS : A common noun is a noun , that is not the name of one particular persons or thing but a name for the complete category.
Such as 'tree', 'cow','water'.
2. #PROPER NOUN : A proper noun is the name of a particular person, organisation or thing.
#Proper nouns begin with a capital letter.
Example : Lord Krishna, Sita, Mathura, India, Asia, Jupiter.
3.#Collective Nouns: A collective noun is a noun such as 'family', 'class', audience, that refers to a group of people or things.
4. #Abstract Nouns : An abstract noun refers to a quality or idea rather than to a physical objects.
#These are the things that we can't touch or see.

In a singular form they can take articles (a,an,the) e.g. , a cow, an apple, the earth.
