Active and Passive Voice ( Part 3)

Change of verb in Assertive Sentences :

Active Voice  =   Passive

( present progressive )

√ am/is/are breaking =am/is/are being broken 

√ am/is/are (not)breaking = am/is/are(not)being broken.

Example.

 AV : 1.Ram is writing a story.

PV :. A story is being written by Ram.

AV: 2. Are they writing an essay ?

PV : Is an essay being written by them ?

Active Voice = Passive.Voice

(Past Progressive)

 Was/were breaking =was/were being broken 

√ was/were (not)breaking = was/were(not)being broken.

Example.

 AV : 1.Ram was writing a story.

PV :. A story was being written by Ram.

AV: 2. Were they writing an essay ?

PV : Was an essay being written by them ?

1.He plays a cricket match. (AV)

√ A cricket match is played by them. (PV)

2. We took no notice of him. (AV)

√ No notice of him was taken by us.(PV)

3. He is reading a newspaper.(AV)

√ A newspaper is being read by him. (PV)

4.He will not read this novel.(AV)

√ A novel will not be read by him. (PV)

1√√ हिमालय पर्वत श्रेणी

हिमालय को हम चार भागों में बांटते.हैं।

1. ट्रांस हिमालय

2. दीर्घ हिमालय 

3.लघु हिमालय 

 4.शिवालिक हिमालय

## हिमालय  पाकिस्तान की पूर्वी सीमा से लेकर म्यांमार  तक 2500किलोमीटर की लंबाई में फैला हुआ है ।इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग 500 किलोमीटर पश्चिम में और पूर्व में लगभग 320 किलोमीटर है । हिमालय पर्वत गंगा ब्रह्मपुत्र के मैदान के उत्तर में स्थित है ।भारतीय हिमालय प्रदेश जम्मू-कश्मीर ,हिमाचल प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड ,सिक्किम व अरुणाचल प्रदेश तक फैला हुआ है । इसके अतिरिक्त हिमालय पर्वत नेपाल तथा भूटान देशों में भी फैला हुआ है ।अरुणाचल प्रदेश से इसकी एक भुजा उत्तर से दक्षिण की ओर नागालैंड मणिपुर और मिजोरम से होते हुए भारत बर्मा म्यांमार की सीमा बनाती है ।

1. Trans- Himalayas ( ट्रांस हिमालय)

इसका अर्थ है हिमालय पार या.उससे पहले की पर्वत श्रृंखलाएं ।

√ कश्मीर में लद्दाख एवं जास्कर ।जिन की चौड़ाई लगभग 40 किलोमीटर है ।

2.दीर्घ हिमालय 

√इसका विस्तार लघु हिमालय के उत्तर में एक दीवार की भांति है ।इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग 25 किलोमीटर और औसत ऊंचाई लगभग 6100 मीटर है ।

इसकी ऊंची चोटियां विश्व में माउंट एवरेस्ट भारत में कंचनजंगा हैं ।

3.लघु हिमालय

√ इसकी चौड़ाई लगभग 80 किलोमीटर और औसत ऊंचाई 15 मीटर तक है इसमें पीर पंजाल जे सी पहाड़ियां पाई जाती हैं।

4. शिवालिक अथवा उपहिमालय 

यह जम्मू कश्मीर में जम्मू डिवीजन से लेकर असम तक फैला हुआ है ।इसकी चौड़ाई पूर्व में 8 किलोमीटर तथा पश्चिम में लगभग 45 किलोमीटर है ।इसमें देहरादून, पोटली, काठमांडू ,चुंबी ,हरिद्वार इत्यादि क्षेत्र हैं।
