#Singular and Plural

◆Some nouns have the singular and plural alike; as. कुछ  संख्या एकवचन व बहुवचन में एक जैसे ही रहते हैं।

Swine, sheep, deer, dozen score, species., Thousand, aircraft, hundred.

Examples:

1.I bought four dozen of bananas.

2. This cricket bat cost me five thousand rupees.

◆ Some nouns are used only in the plural.

कुछ  संज्ञा हमेशा बहुवचन के रूप में प्रयोग  होते हैं

1. Names of instruments which have two parts forming a kind of pair;as

Scissors कैंची, tongs, spectacles चश्मा

2. Names of certain articles of dress; as

Trousers, drawers, jeans, tights, shorts, pyjamas etc.

3.Certain other nouns;  as

Thanks, proceeds (of a sale), tidings, assets etc.

1.Names of some games.

●Billiards, draughts etc.

2. Name of subjects:

●Mathematics, physics, economics, electronics etc

3. Name if some common diseases;

● measles खसरा
